Team Tara members have a wide variety of talents, skills, and backgrounds and they are not afraid to use them to further our mission! In the list below, you will see an incredible array of events that our team members have organized to reach new fundraising goals. From craft shows to yard sales, from ice cream to slime, we are out in the community taking hopeful and productive steps to conquer cancer.

One of our favorite events of the year, this pre-Walk gathering allows us all to say hello to each other prior to Walk Day. The hope and camaraderie is tangible at this event and we look forward to it every year!

Country Kicks Cancer

This event, hosted by Barbara Barrett and Tina Seaman, was such a blast in 2020 - yee haw! Plan to dust off your dancing boots and join us for the 2nd Country Kicks Cancer night out in March 2022!

The annual yard sale is not to be missed - this will be our 9th annual and it’s bound to be epic. With over 100 families donating goods, it is safe to say, you have never seen a yard sale like this one!

Friendly Stitches Fundraisers

YEAR ROUND | CANTON

Two of our teenage team members, Lauren and Malina, creatively fundraise using their sewing skills! Offerings range from one-night sewing lessons for kids to "Say Thank You to a Nurse," an opportunity to put your sewing skills to work while recognizing front line workers. These events sell out very quickly so please stay tuned.

Our team members collect cans for recycling and earn hundreds of dollars each year by doing so! One can at a time, we will conquer cancer.

At this event you can eat delicious ice cream from Ron’s in Hyde Park and purchase some great Canton Bulldogs gear, all to benefit The Jimmy Fund and Team Tara!

The annual Evening of Hope is Team Tara’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It provides an official launch to our team and a chance for you to be inspired by the work of Team Tara!

Share the Love Pallets

Summer 2020 | Canton

The idea of repurposing pallets into works of art evolved into a huge fundraising success! As orders for the beautiful Share the Love Pallets streamed in, Malina, Marissa, and Tara F. worked hard to make their customers happy! Everyone enjoyed seeing the pallets throughout town and many remain on display today.

Westwood, MA florist, Paula’s Blooming Hope, created beautiful “Vases of Hope” in honor of our team! For every vase sold a portion was donated back to Team Tara.

One of our amazing team members, Lynne O’Dea, and her family coordinate this wonderful craft show every year! Lynne arranges dozens of vendors and crafters for this event and is relentless in her pursuit of a cancer cure.
